What lies behind this presidential name? . The new work of singer and composer Manuel Armstrong . An old acquaintance among the Parisian musicians. After his musical adventure DADDY LONG LEGS at the record company HAPPY PLACE RECORDS, he repeats with them but under another name and with a commitment to an optimistic, neat and dazzling pop.

The new Fitzgeralds album that will be released in a few months is an euphoric and sonic assault on the senses through a nostalgic and eclectic pop . With lyrics that deal with themes of love , loss and dark areas of the human personality , interpreted by the crooner’s voice of Manuel Armstrong. Guitars merge with discrete layers of synths and a romantic and melancholic lyrical vein .

The album features songs like HELEN that shines with a sweeping melody . A hit in the making. If we go on listening we find the wild optimism of keyboards and melody of MORNING SPOON that make us think of ADAM GREEN . LAST TRAIN is where Armstrong takes the side of ELVIS COSTELLO and turns towards nostalgia with minimalist guitars. SUMMERTIME HEROES suggestive pop in the fashion of PAUL WELLERS , CATS BACKROOM where Armstrong goes wild with farfisa and powerful guitars.

FITZGERALDS is only pop. But we like it.
